My friend is taking over-the-counter prenatal vitamins. She said that it is because she wants to increase her chance of getting pregnant as she is already in her late thirties, no longer young to conceive easily. She said her husband, five years her senior, is also often busy at work so she has to do anything that can help her increase her chance of getting pregnant since they don’t spend much time together. I have read that over-the-counter prenatal vitamins have higher dose of almost all micronutrients compared to the prescription ones. I wonder if this makes over-the-counter prenatal vitamins better than the prescription prenatal vitamins.
